Arrowroot Powder
Arrowroot powder (Maranta arundinacea) is a perennial plant found in rainforest habitats and was one of the earliest plants to be domesticated for food in northern South America, with evidence of exploitation or cultivation of the plant dating back to 8200 BCE and is derived from a tropical South American plant and, like cornstarch, is used as a thickener in recipes. The plant was given the name “Arrowroot” because it was once used to treat those injured with wounds from poison arrows.
In Magick it has been used for giving power to gambling spells, as a base for making your own natural and safe sachet powders and incense. It is especially effective for improving luck.
